The point of control is marked first, as the price that held the most volume in the window on the sheet. It is a fact about that session, written in pencil, not a target.
Wednesday evenings · eight chairs
The volume profile, read aloud at the long table.
Insight Passageway Academy keeps a small classroom on Bangna-Trad Road where traders sit with a printed session and learn to say, in plain words, where value was accepted and who participated.
Dates on the reading deskIn the room
Three marks before anyone tells a story.
The value area is shaded only after the table agrees which prices held the bulk of trade. Thin notches stay outside the shading so they are not mistaken for a resting place.
Initiative and responsive participation are named from the sequence of prints. A fast move is not initiative unless volume stayed at the new prices.
Flagship class
Four Wednesdays with one finished session at a time.
Volume Profile Reading Studio
The studio is for people who already watch a liquid session and want a repeatable reading of volume at price. Across four evenings the table builds a profile, follows a migrating point of control, separates initiative from responsive trade, and reads one full session in turns.
Other ways to sit
A review, a Saturday composite, a morning open.
Market Participation Desk Review
Ninety minutes at the side table with one finished session of your own, focused on where you joined the auction and where the bulk of the volume actually sat.
Composite Profile Workshop
A Saturday half-day merging several sessions into one composite, then looking for poor highs, poor lows, and auctions that never finished.
Opening Auction Briefing
A short Wednesday morning at 07:30 that names the opening type and the first burst of participation, using a finished open as the case before you go to your own screen.
A Wednesday in the room
The composite showed a poor high, and the table stayed with it.
One evening the merged sheet made a high that had never traded with excess. Two people wanted to call the auction finished because the day had felt quiet. Niran covered the last hour with a card and asked the table to describe only the prints they could see. When the card came off, the poor high was still poor. The group spent the rest of the hour on what “unfinished” means on paper, and nobody left with a price to chase.
I came in marking every bar and left marking three things: the tallest price, the edge of value, and whether the push was initiative. The first evening moved faster than I could shade the value area, and I asked for the opening to be replayed.
Niran asked me to point at the price where I joined and then at the price where most of the volume actually sat. They were not the same. I did not enjoy seeing it.
